Проєкт ZHETON.NA.METRO
народився з особистого досвіду та рефлексії над минулим. У дитинстві жетон був звичним елементом повсякденного життя: він грівся у кишені, дзенькотів у руках і ставав своєрідним ритуалом перед входом у метро. Цей маленький предмет ніс у собі відбиток цілого міста – його шуму, руху, змін.
З роками жетони зникли, поступившись місцем сучасним системам оплати, але вони не зникли з пам’яті. Саме тоді з’явилася ідея: дати жетону нове життя, переосмислити його не просто як предмет минулого, а як символ часу, переходу та змін.
Цей проєкт про:
Завершення епохи. Жетони більше не випускаються, вони стали рідкістю, предметом ностальгії та частиною історії міста. Вони символізують зміни, які здавалися непомітними, але кардинально змінили міський простір.
Символіку та антикваріат. Колись буденний предмет, тепер жетон є колекційним артефактом, що зберігає історії та спогади багатьох поколінь. Його цінність полягає не лише в матеріалі, а й у сенсі, який він несе.
Етапи життя. Жетон символізує перехідний період у житті людини – коли ще триває пошук, але вже прокладається шлях. Як метро, яке веде своїх пасажирів через місто, жетон стає символом руху та змін.
Тактильну пам’ятку. Він викликає спогади, повертає до моментів, коли він був частиною рутини, але тепер, у руках, він стає об’єктом спокою, дозволяючи зануритися у роздуми.
Постурбанізацію та рефлексію. Це не просто предмет із минулого, а символ змін. Він є нагадуванням про те, що прогрес несе як розвиток, так і втрату певних деталей, які колись здавалися звичайними.

METRO TOKEN Project
Born from personal experience and reflection on the past, this project traces its roots to childhood memories. The metro token was once an everyday object: it warmed in the pocket, jingled in the hands, and became a small ritual before entering the subway. This tiny object carried the imprint of an entire city—its noise, movement, and transformations.
Over the years, tokens disappeared, replaced by modern payment systems, yet they never vanished from memory. That was when the idea emerged: to give the token a new life, to rethink it not just as a relic of the past but as a symbol of time, transition, and change.
This project is about:
The end of an era. Tokens are no longer in circulation; they have become rare, nostalgic artifacts and a part of the city’s history. They symbolize the changes that seemed imperceptible but ultimately reshaped urban spaces.
Symbolism and antiquity. Once an ordinary item, the token is now a collectible artifact that preserves stories and memories of past generations. Its value lies not just in its material but in the meaning it carries.
Life transitions. The token represents a transitional phase in life—when the search is still ongoing, but the path is already being paved. Like the subway that carries its passengers through the city, the token becomes a symbol of movement and transformation.
A tactile memory. Holding it evokes memories, bringing back moments when it was part of everyday routine. Now, in the hands, it becomes an object of calm, inviting contemplation.
Post-urbanization and reflection. This is not just an object from the past but a symbol of change. It serves as a reminder that progress brings both development and the loss of small details that once seemed ordinary.
